Early childhood education is a term that refers to the period of time from a child’s birth to when they enter kindergarten, it is an important time in children’s lives because it is when they first learn how to interact with others, including peers, teachers and parents, and also begin to develop interests that will stay with them throughout their lives.

At mary convent the base of teaching and learning is objectives of the early childhood education programme. Ece is also called pre schooling education that construct ability for formal education in child it includes various activity and approach that provide a healthy and stimulating atmosphere for child’s intellectual, language, social, emotional and physical development it helps to develop skills and concepts for forthcoming challenges in formal education as arithmetical and logical reasoning and mathematical concepts, reading and writing.

The Capacious aim of the ECE programme is:

  • To develop social attitudes and manners that encourage healthy group participation. This way their emotional maturity is also attained through which they can freely express themselves.
  • To stimulate intellectual curiosity so as to help him understand the world around him.
  • To develop in a child, good physique, adequate muscular coordination and basic motor skills.
